1978: The Year of the Bee Gees

There was no escaping the Brothers Gibb in 1978!

That year, the band had an impressive eight number one songs – though, not all of them were performed by the Bee Gees themselves. In addition to their four smash songs “How Deep Is Your Love,” “Stayin’ Alive,” “Night Fever” and “Too Much Heaven,” the trio held writing credits on little brother Andy Gibb’s “(Love Is) Thicker Than Water” and “Shadow Dancing.” Additionally, the group crafted Frankie Valli’s “Grease” and Yvonne Elliman’s “If I Can’t Have You.”
