On July 14, 1967, The Bee Gees released their third studio album, 1st in the U.K. The psychedelic pop album was the trio’s first international full-length, after two albums only released in Australia and New Zealand. The album, which had its artwork designed by Klaus Voormann — who also designed The Beatles’ Revolver — peaked on the U.S. and U.K. charts at number 7 and number 6, respectively. Following the release of 1st, the band began producing and mixing many of their subsequent releases.
